Morning all,

When out on a ride I use a Garmin Forerunner to record the route, ditance, time etc etc saves as a GPX file. Yesterday however my battery died before the end of the ride so my question is, is their any software that I can use to plot the rest of the ride and save as GPX that will have the correct route length, elevation etc etc.

I use wheres the path to plot routes but if I edit the GPX on here does not add the elevation to the GPX file for editted section.

Many Thanks
Simon

Go to www.bikehike.co.uk and click on the course creator. Click on the Upload Route choice on the right hand side of the screen. Load in your GPX file. You can view distance and elevation on this site.

One thing I have noticed is that most of these route websites online vary wildly when it comes to amount of climb. I did a sportive that was advertised as 2700metres last year but on bikehike the route only came out as 2300metres. I put the same route in on mapmyride and it came out even less!!

I only really use the amount of climb as a comparitor for each ride I do.

Thanks for that, yes I notice elevation is wildly different. Garmin training centre has 4100ft ascent for weekends ride, sporttracks 3100ft and endomondo 3300ft. Lottery
