Is there any real benefit to buying a 32 channel gps receiver compared to a 12 or 16 one?

Nope, the 16 channel one I used picks up signals perfectly

Id say you need a minimum of a 16 channel one tho, 12 wont roam very well in a lot of places.

I bought a cheap bluetooth one from an auction site and it just about did the job,I got rid of it a while back and bought a holux 236, what a difference.

It locks on quicker and stays locked, it even worked in the house!

I beleve the difference is the holux is sirf III,they are a little dearer but worth it.
