GPS / SatNav software

My father in law has bought a SatNav thing to use while he is in his truck. Is it possible to get speed camera and bridge height software for it so he can plan his route better? Any recommendations?

most probably. depends which model and what software it uses.

get a better response if you post that. better off in motors as well

Motor forum would be better.

Yes speed camera database is easy to get(can't remember where you get it from), no idea on bridge height.

Make and model would help.

Ok, I think the model is a NavMan 550. I'll have to double check but I'm almost certain that's the one.

Speed camera data probably won't be too hard.

Bridge height and weight restrictions might be more difficult. Even if you could get a database of heights and weights on to the satnav, it probably wouldn't take them into account when planning a route.
