Hi Guys,

Just after a bit of advice to anyone that has tried/got a GPS tracker on their bike, my slightly forgetful uncle has now twice lost his bike when going up to London and it takes him hours to find it.

Do and of you guys have a GPS tracker installed on your bike that works off an App? I'm looking at https://www.thetileapp.com/

Which looks like it will do everything and have the scale ability to add extra devices, which could come in handy. I know it's not strictly a GPS tracker however.

Budget of up to £50 would be handy.

One of my colleagues was very keen on Tile until I pointed out it is effectively a subscription service as the battery only lasts a year.

Whether that works for Mr Forgetful as he can get reminders when its about to run out? Maybe

Doubt you'll get a proper GPS tracker for £50, there is also the issue of how you power it on a bike.

You could just use a free cycle tracking app which you then turn off at the end of your ride, you can then go back and review your ride and it tells you where you stopped.

Just drop a pin on your location in gmaps on your phone. No need for a separate tracker if the bike is staying still!
