GPS are supposed to be up 10 meters accurate right? (can you shave some figures off that??) so how can they be more accurate than speedometer in telling the speed of a car?

Differences in wheel size should not be a problem as i belive the margin/error rate should not that much compare to that of a gps.

I will wait and hear you guys oppinion on this.

You're travelling at many meters per second so the accuracy increases as the GPS unit takes an average over time.

Speedos are perfectly accurate, just not accurately calibrated.

VooDoo Magic!?!

Speedo's are calibrated to over-read by Law, thus are always 'off', I assume that's how GPS can beat it.

speedos over-read by up to something like 10% isnt it?

P.S. Coco, i have some questions to ask you about the clio, is it possible for you to add me to msn? email's in my profile :)

Yeah, I think its about 10%.

Depending on how many satilites you are locked onto and what GPS reciever you have, they can be a lot more accurate then 10m.
