Ok.

1. Game @ 1920 x 1080 on Benq 2040t which can do 120mhz.

2. Will play all the usual suspects Skyrim, BF3 etc

3. Will have sli/xfire capable mobo

4. Corsair 850w PSU

5. Prefer Nvidia but that will not be the deciding factor, that will be price/performance

6. I can wait but no longer than a few weeks.

7. Will happily consider 2nd hand.

Cheers!

HD 7850 without a doubt.

Not sure if it's worth waiting for the Twin Frozr III or IV (no one has a clue when they're out) or buy a HIS, VTX, PowerColor etc. Someone told me the VTX doesn't really have good airflow.

You can get massive overclocks on the 7850 anyway so it's definitely the best for that price by a long way.

It'll do you nicely mate. :)

I have the Sapphire 7950 and I get idle temps between 32-36 at stock with default fan speed and I hear the 7850s are super cool and quiet so yeah, go for that.

However, if you're willing to wait, get the Twin Frozr IV for an extra £15 or so. If not the Sapphire 7850 is still an awesome card.

Cheers. Well I'll take your reccomendation on board and get the Sapphire I think, I like the MSI twinfrozr cards, but I;m gonna keep the extra cash and put toward SSD I think.

I have spent some wedge in the last hour let me tell you!!!

:D
