Hi,
I didn't know where to post this, and I believe it's a hardware issue so I'll post it here, if this is incorrect, please move to the correct forum :)

Processor: Intel Core2Duo E7200 @ 2.53GHZ
Ram : Corsair 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz
Operating System: Windows XP 32Bit ( I only see 3070MB Ram because it's 32Bit )
Graphics card : Sapphire HD 3450 256MB DDR2 VGA DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card

Processor info:
When running with just a couple of programs open: msn, iTunes, firefox, Windows Live Mail etc, it runs at 39°c on about 1% of the processor. (according to realTemp)

Graphics card:
When running a game, Portal, CoD1 etc, the temperature goes up to around 70°c which seems reasonable, but the activity goes up to 99%. I get no lag whatsoever, CoD1 runs perfectly with ~300FPS.

Cooling:
Coolermaster Elite 330 is the case I'm using, that provides the main fan which runs at 1200RPM, then the heatsink on my processor (stock) runs at around 850RPM.

Problem:
When running Call of Duty 1, it runs perfectly and doesn't have any problems with lag, 300+fps is average, but it "Randomly" crashes and comes up with "Send error report". I read around and apparently it's to do with have dual core processor, so I ran CoD1 and set "Affinity" to 1CPU - CPU0 and the problem still occurs, I tried using CPU1 instead and I have the same problem.

Could I have a Hardware issue or is it a problem with Call of Duty 1? The only thing pushing me away from it being a CoD1 issue is that my old PC which was pretty **** compared to this one would run it at 100FPS for up to 6 hours at a time without crashing where as this conks out after ~10 minutes.

Any ideas what's up with it? I just played portal for 3 hours and it ran perfectly, no lag and it was on high detail, however GPU Temp went up to 75°c and GPU activity went up to 99%, but still no lag, so I presume my hardware is running perfectly.

So yeah, any help?

This might sound silly but do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card and also have the latest patch for COD1? Lots of problems like this can be solved by installing a patch for a game.

Latest patch. The PC was only built on Thursday and I installed the drivers then so I presume it's got the latest; I'll check though.
