GPU air cooler

Hi there,

Just curiously can anyone reconmend a seriously good GTX 470 GPU cooler? also if possible with the option to be fitted to a 580 as well.

Prolimatech MK-13.

You need to buy fans for it though.

EDIT

Accelero XTREME Plus or Accelero XTREME Plus II fits both 470 and 580 cards.

do these take up 2 or three slots ?

I do really like the look of the Accelero Extreme.... but I also like the option of picking which fans I will be using.

Yup thats my concern.. i am running two 470s and although i am using the Asus Sabertooth so there is three slots for the top card... I dont want to get a cooler that is going to be blocked off by the bottom card...

Yikes, the 5850 is the biggest card i have owned and only done single card, so unfortunately i can't help any further, but am sure someone will be along soon with more experience.

Scythe setsugen is a two slot solution with the option of a 2.5 slot solution if you fit a standard 120mm fan.

I'm running a 470 with a VF3000F, runs perfectly. Not too difficult to fit either.

A friend recently bought this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-002-GD&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=787 for his gtx 470. He said the fitting took a while and required small hands but the performance was outstanding and it has shut his graphics card up a treat and provided pretty decent cooling.

Not too worried about it being difficult to fit as i put on various waterblocks on different cards and didn't really have any hassle with that

just looking for something that will help keep my cards cool as the are running quite warm now.. I dont mind 2.5 as i have 3 solts i just dont want it to be so big that the top card gets blocked off by the bottom one.

Cheers for this, looks great but idealy i would like to be able to keep the cooler to go onto my future 580s

The MK-13 fits both cards and you can mount the fans at the side of the cards so SLI should work.

If you look at the last picture here, you can get an idea of how it works.

VF3000 also,cant recommend this cooler enough!
