Hiya guys,

Well i've caved, i can't wait any longer for the 290/290X.

So it's either going to be one of the following:
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Classified 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (03G-P4-3788-KR)

or
MSI HD 7990 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE GAMES

Or two of these in crossfire
MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I'm confused as to what to get, because i'll be changing monitors too but unsure which route to down.

Montior choices are:
DGM IPS-2701WPH 27" LED Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black

or
Dell UltraSharp U2913WM 29" Super-Widescreen LED Monitor - Midnight Grey

or
Benq XL2720T 27" TRUE 120Hz 3D Vision 2.0 Widescreen LED Monitor - Black/Red

Hard part is finding the right gpu setup for my monitor choice, which is where you guys come in if you can.

Any opinions, experience etc would be really great as i'm looking to order today.

David

your links all say 404 so it is a bit difficult to help

if you are looking at changing monitors, it might be worth waiting a couple of months in any case, to see if Gsync is something that you might want to try
290/290X release may also see some price drops on other cards that may be of interest

personally, of the choices you've listed, I would go for a GTX780 and the DGM (I have 3 of them)

however, with 780ti announced, and 290/290X coming soon too, I can easily see price drops on the 780 soon too, and if you are going to go Nvidia, you could pick up a Gsync monitor to make the most of the performance you have available

I would forget about the 7990, I don't like dual GPU single cards, a pair of 280X cards would also be a good choice, and if you play BF4 then mantle will give a good performance boost soon, but with nvidia cards and gsync, FPS in itself becomes less important, so you might end up being able to run higher settings on an nvidia setup

290X will be before the end of this month, 780ti will be November, Gsync monitors will be in the new year

though nothing to stop you buying say a cheap monitor now (the DGM) and selling it to upgrade later
