GPU and monitor- so MANY options!! I stuck!

HDR - OMG!! More things. This is turning in the Apple development model - drip feed incremental improvements each and every live long year!
I'd say it's actually far better than that. The past few years have seen a pretty significant push in monitor/display technology in what used to be quite a boring and stagnant market.

It's a hell of a mess at the moment, but will look super nice once it's all cleaned up. :D

I got a 144hz 21:9 monitor last weekend and spent some time playing Dirt Rally and Grid Autosport yesterday, I thought they were both running and looking great, This is my first experience beyond 60hz as well as my first time with Freesync and ultrawide. It's a great way to go.

EDIT, I have a Fury gpu so I went with a 2560x1080 monitor to ensure I can keep well inside the working sync range.

I was a bit worried about it being a VA panel and made by ACER but I can't fault it so far.
There's also a 200hz G-sync version for Nvidia gamers. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...e-zeroframe-curved-led-monitor-mo-091-ac.html

I am sure I will wait until next year, certainly until after CES in Jan. But those monitors do look so very nice.

Will need to go see one to ensure that it is good for photo editing and that colour rendition is accurate (or easy to calibrate).

the 100hz might be a happy medium for gaming - you know, cos...shiny monitor :)
