Hi all, I've been out of the loop for quite a while with regards to PC upgrades and the like however I'm looking to finally upgrade my aging graphics card and acquired monitor.

I'm currently running a 5870 and generic 26" monitor which perform well enough however I think it's time for a refresh. I've been looking at pairing the following 2 items together but wondered if there were any better alternatives out there, ie would I benefit from 8GB?

the cpu and mobo were upgraded around 2 years ago (wow that has flown by) and includes a stock intel 4670k

*edit*

apologies for the quick edit but i just saw this deal for the msi

Looks a no-brainer but would there be a reason not to go for it?

I'm not wanting to spend much more than the total cost of these but any suggestions are welcomed.

Hi all, thanks very much for the feedback, I'll have a think and see what I fancy doing.

The market is definitely a different place since I bought the 5870.
