GPU and Monitor, which way to go

Hi;

I have a Skylake build in the pipeline primarily for games (my existing kit can't cope with new stuff like GTA V), but I can't decide on a GPU and Monitor.

I am thinking this FreeSync Monitor is £100 less than the Gsync version, leaving more for the GPU making AMD the more attractive option?

Is this the best I can do with my £550 budget or are there any better options?

Thanks in Advance...

Hi;

Digging around the Web there are a few discussions on this topic. It seems FreeSync solution for both Monitor and Graphics card is around £100 cheaper than it's nearest Gsync rival... and since the graphics cards are kind of neck and neck per £ anyway... have I solved my own dilemma here?

Anyone?

I've had both top range AMD card and FreeSync panel.

I've also had both top range Nvidia card and G-Sync panel.

Nvidia delivered better results in the games i play.

Why 390X, why not save a bit and go 390?
Or if budget is a concern get a 290X seeing as its basically a 390X with 4GB (8GB is useless on a single card setup anyway unless you plan on getting 3 or 4 cards)

If it was me, I would save up the extra and get gsync mind.

Nothing to add other than there is a thread on that monitor in the monitor section, might be worth a read through, doesn't seem positive.

Research your monitor before purchase. ;)
