howdy folks, wanna ask a wee bit of advice. been mincing about considering a gpu upgrade-currently on a vapour x 5770-whch has served me very well, but is starting to struggle a bit in games, esp the witcher 2-i have to turn a lot of the eye candy way down :(

saw this on pre order today and think i'll take a punt on it

http://overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-128-MS&tool=3

i'm guessing my psu, corsair tx 650w, will handle it ok? rest of my rig is i5 750, 2 x f3 500gb hdds, 7 x fans inc cpu cooler and a xonar dg 5.1 soundcard.

i'm also looking to grab an ssd, but as my motherboard, p55a-ud3 uses the manky marvel 9128 chip i'll have to use the 3gbs intel chipset instead, so anyone any advice which ssd to go for in a budget of about 160-200 notes??

many thanks in advance

slightly over budget, but if you have a PCIe x1 slot available then this will work wonders:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE DIRT3 Game £199.99
1 x Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive £183.98
1 x Startech PEXSAT31E1 1x eSATA + 1x SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express SATA Controller Card Adapter £29.99
Total : £413.96 (includes shipping: FREE).

*edit*
doh, i see what your motherboard is. missed it 1st time round. stick the controller card in the top slot, and the graphics card where you normally would

what PCIe cards do you have?

sorry for the bump, and i know i asked a similar question a while back, but i've now run out of reasons not to upgrade! :p and i can't, or rather don't wanna hold off for the next gen of new gpus's as i really wanna play the witcher 2 with all the bells and whistles.

so any further advice greatly appreciated

cheers
