Anyone got these Watercool Heatkiller GPU Backplate 79X0 backplates fitted to a non watercool GPU cooler? apparently you can use them with other reference design waterblocks, just wondering if anyone has would be a nice addition to the PC eyecandy.

I would think so given that it's such a thin item, most water blocks still use the standard screws that the card has to attach. If not it's as simple as buying some more M3 (or the correct size) screws off the internet to fit. Screws can be had for £1-£3, so it's not a huge cost.
