So i'm looking at getting a 1080 Ti at the end of the month once the 2080 Ti has been released with reviews and benchmarks available. The question is which 1080 Ti?

So i've got a Gigabyte X370 K7 motherboard so i thought i'd keep it in the family and go with the Aorus branded cards. There are two however, the standard edition at £630 and the Extreme Edition at £900.

Now i've been watching the usual reviewers on YouTube and the consensus to me seems to be that buying the OC cards is a waste of money. You should just use nVidia GPU Boost.

With the price difference between the two cards of £270 this matters.

So can i just get the lower end card and use GPU boost to get very close to the £900 Extreme edition card? Because paying an extra £270 for 4% more performance would be madness.
