Not had any joy with this since downloading a 2711, deleted it after running 24 hours without progress or finishing, got a new 2711, same thing. Have made no changes to my system.

May have to revrt to running two cpu cores for a while methinks, instead of 1 cpu and 1 gpu.

Still haven't had the time to start on my new rig and now I'm leaving the country for 4 days, so looks like another week before I can even start on it.

I have just been reading a thread about the recent bugs on the folding community forums. It would appear that not only is there a reporting error, but also WUs WILL NOT pick up where they left off if you have to turn off the client [ie play a game, restart etc].

I don't know if this affects everybody, but I believe it is the source of my problem as my WU should have finished hours and hours and hours ago. My GPU IS doing work, as a certain log file is being updated but unfortunately I can't gauge its progress without knowing the total number of steps are in a 2711 WU.

If a WU will not pickup where it left off, or at least from the last stepped point, I presume it's restarting from the beggining, or worse, it's just hanging.

Either way that rule sout my use of the GPU cleint for a while, since this PC gets rebooted far too frequently for other reasons.

Yeah, if this error had occurred say last week, it wouldn't have been a problem but I just got Command & Conquer The First Decade yesterday so I have been on that at least a few times :D

A bit annoying really because first of all something as fundamental as checkpoints SHOULD work especially given that people with X1900 tend to be gamers! Also my GPU client provided me about 600PPD by itself - going to be a drastic drop over the next few days as it would seem my GPU will only be able to fold overnight.

I have seen on the forum that they are working on a new update/patch for the client; however I do not know when it is due to be released. It should solve most if not all the bugs so far.

I have just restarted the other core's client so at least I will be doing some crunching while we wait for WUs that work lol.

I'm suffering with the non-reporting bug too, makes it a real pain when you're trying to test if it's working the first time it's run :o

If it's not resuming then my WU overnight took from 21:41 to 08:51 so that's 11hr10m for the WU, 6m42s a frame, working out to about 710 PPD at 625/725 clocks.
However if it is resuming the WU took about another 30 mins as I ran it for a while on the 2D clocks to check everything was working right. :o

edit: 2nd WU took longer than expected as the clocks reset to 2D speeds when I watched a video clip this afternoon (fixed in the latest ATT Beta supposedly). Took from 08:52 to 21:01, 12hr9m for the WU, 652 PPD mostly at 625/725 but about the last 4.5hr at 500/600.
The third WU should help work out what's really happened :p
