GPU client sluggishness

Whenever GPU client is running the whole desktop becomes very sluggish, "my computer" takes 3 secs to open up, shadows when dragging windows around...etc.

Anyone having the same problem?? or is there something I'm missing??

I'm running the 5.91 console client with catalyst 6.11 on my X1800XT @ stock 3D speed.

Also it is managing about 17mins per frame , does that sound right for 1800XT?? I know it is supposed to be a lot slower than 1900XT but damn!

Just tried turning off those performance options and the system is slightly more responsive now, although it is still sluggish when dragging windows around and opening new applications. Yeah I did notice it takes up about 200Mb of memory.

Oh well I think I might just run the GPU client at night and normal CPU clients when I'm using the computer.
