GPU Cooler for 7950

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting a GPU cooler for my HIS Radeon 7950. It seems to heat up when I watch HD video to about 50 to 60 degrees. When it reaches 60 the fans really kick in bringing with it a loud fan noise for about a minute every 5 minutes or so. I don't notice it when playing games but it is kinda annoying when just watching some HD video.

My card currently has one tiny fan so I'm assuming a cooler is going to reduce the noise and keep it cooler for longer? I don't know too much about this stuff but am I right in thinking I have to remove the case / fan from the gpu and attach the cooler on after? Also do I need to get one specific to my card or any Radeon 7900 series?

Thanks for any help!

Is this via blu-ray or just web/HDD based stuff?

If it's the latter, I'd say to disable hardware acceleration by changing the options in whatever player you use or right clicking a youtube/flash video and clicking options.

If it's the former, look for an Arctic Accelero 79xx (or Xtreme III and get a 79xx shim) or a Gelid Icy vision rev 2.
