My twin forzor 580s are getting quite hot in my lian li p71f, the case doesn't seem to be able to cool these cards in sli,i have 3 intake fan 2x 140mm 1 x 120mm and 2x120mm exhausts.
If am running something like just cause 2 or bfbc2 both cards are hitting pretty much 87*c -91*c.
So i was wondering would it be worth me changing the fans? perhaps to some silverstone penetrators? and perhaps mount some 180mm or likewise either on sidepanel or on roof? bare in mind i wouldn't want it to sound like a hoover.

Thanks zia

Unfortunely carn't move it to the lower pcie due to psu

Think i'll experiment with trying to place a spare fan on the ouside of the hdd cage pointing towards the cards and see if it gives me better gpu temps first.

Thanks for you input.

Is this the case you have here Zia?

If so, id like to see the results of using the silverstone air penetrator fans, im looking at theese for my Lian Li A70F as intakes.

Yes mate,i previously bought some yateloon 140mm but they didn't seem to help with gpu temps,so figured that since the fans were pretty much level with the gpus the penetrator would the best choice as they push air straight forward.

The fans seem to shift fair bit of air,so far 5v seem the lowest they will go, unlike the noctuas and lian li stock fans i am unable to stop them with zalman fc1 fan controller which is a bummer but at 5v they are indeed very quiet yet still flow well,at 7v they still fairly quiet but at 12v they are quite loud.
the antec spotcool seem like a nice little fan very versatile.

First off tried just using only the penetrator using thier 5v setting launched just cuase 2 unfortunely the temp on gpus rapidly rose upto 85*c. turn the fans up full 12v and i did noticed a slight temp drop for both cards but it wasn't signifcant as i assumed it be,
Both dropped _3-4*C.i then tried the spot cool placed as both pointing on top cards as that one is the one that heats up the most.again the spot cool
didn't seem to efffect the temp at all, tried various postions but still no joy so have decided to remove it all togeather.
As it happen i purchased one fo these will see if it make difference:D
