GPU Core Speed Too High?

Hi Guys,

I may be worrying over nothing, maybe not. However I am a little worried about my graphics card. Its a Gigabyte RTX2080ti OC. The maximum advertised speeds is 1665Mhz when in OC mode. However when I look at MSI Afterburner and HWMoniter it tells me the maximum speed the GPU has got is 1995MHz. Is this not too high? I haven't touched any overclocking on the card at all.

I should mention I only received this card today as it was a replacement for my old card which was faulty but I noticed the same numbers previously and wondered if this was the course of my problems in the first place

I had a 1080 that had advertised speeds of 1600 and would boost to 1900 so this is not unheard off. That was with no overclocking. I would do some benchmarks and see what the card really boosts too. Frankly I think you will be fine.

My Ventus OC boosted way above what i expected out of the box. Like above, if thermals and power delivery permit then this is normal.
