Just noticed ‘GPU Hotspot’ in HWMonitor on my new system. It’s reporting a temp that’s a few degrees higher than the GPU Core.
Doing a quick look online it appears to be reporting either A) the highest of the sensor readings on the GPU chip, whilst the GPU core reporting is the ‘average’ in the chip or B) the highest temp on the card, which could be from another component.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
And, which is the best reading to use to set up profiles for fans, water cooling, etc? Have in the past only used GPU core temp, didn’t know hotspot was even a thing! Thanks
