GPU & CPU Question

Hi, i have a couple of R9 280X's GPU's
will they work ok with intel i5-4670K or is it recommended to go AMD for the CPU for best performance.

Thanks guys !! i thought the Intel was the best option, but a friend told me AMD would be better :s
