Whilst playing games that are not straining, it appears my GPU essentially crashes and I the display is lost, but audio is maintained (voip is lost), the computer remains on but it seems the GPU fans speed up really fast. The games that I play when this occurs are Overwatch, CS:GO, BO4. It has happened in the menu's at these times.

I have refitted my GPU and checked cabling.
GPU temp ranges from 65 - 75 c
Not overclocking my GPU or CPU.

Any ideas what could be causing this? I've heard potential fixes of undervolting but want to learn more etc.

It could be something to do with the fps skyrocketing? If it's in low-demand games and menus.

Are you using Vsync?

I'm currently not using Vsync.

So on low duty games your FPS will be through the roof. I’ve not heard of that causing crashes before, but it coincides with the parameters that cause yours, if nothing else.

Try enabling V-sync. Set steam to display an FPS counter, that way you can see. You might want to force v-sync in the NV control panel, that way it should apply to menus too.

Let us know how you get on :)
