Ok So I want to play BF3 on maxed out settings, smoothly. Running other games is a bonus. GPU can take upto £1000 of my total build budget.

So many reviews.

Obv GTX 580 Sli would smash it but is the money really that wise? Or could I max it out with two 570's or 6950 CF?

Any suggestions guys, anyone played the Alpha and on what GPU, how did you find it? Smooth, laggy? All answers welcomed, as I want to make sure I am prepped and running end of this month. Want to give it a month to tweak around before the release :)

We dont really know the requirements for BF3 yet, it could be brilliantly optimised and you may be about to max it with something like one 580 or it could be another crysis so its hard to say. However sli 580s will blow almost anything into next week, with the possible exception of metro 2033 :)

lol, sorry was being lazy in my last post,

2600K Dont want GPU to bottle neck even though 2500k is fine (Apparently BF3 may make use of HT)MSI GD-80, Corsair HX850, 8GB G-Skill CL8, Corsair H100, Samsung Blu Ray, 64GB SSD (FOR SRT), 2TB Samsung Spinpoint, Corsair 600t white. Plus Skyte fans.

I know there are no current specs, just opinions, but considering my last card was quad 7950GX2 im a little out of touch. I want to know if people think two 6950 will probably cope or if I should get 6970 or just throw money to the wind and go 580 SLi? Thinking maybe MSI Lightnings now they have price dropped to £395 on another retailer.
