Good Afternoon All.

Recently got a 280x Toxic and various other parts which have all been working well for the past couple of weeks.

Yet today I have noticed as soon as I go in-game (Skyrim, PoE, Borderlands 2) my graphics card makes a 'strange clicking noise' - I thought it was be a fan or similar but I have ruled this out and it only happens as soon as I go in-game - not an intro video or similar.

Edit - I have tried reseating the card and anything else I can think of.

Any ideas as I am really worried and cant have it making this noise.

Cheers

Rob

It might be the fan but it might only do it at a certain RPM. You could use something like MSI afterburner to control the fan manually and see if that is the issue.

Does it sound like an electric type of clicking sound? Or maybe...

Maybe its just the casing. The difference in temperature between ambient and load expanding the casing somewhat. My PC case does it all the time. It doesn't happen in summer as it never gets that cold, but during winter it gets pretty cold when im not here so the difference between the 2 is more extreme.
