my mobo is an MSI 975x platinum PowerUp edition with e6700 c2d stock and a 540w PSU with a crippled 8800GTX that wont hit certain resolutions and crashes every other hour ..

sooo, do i grab a G280 replacement and have to grab a new PSU or a new mobo and a 4870 (heard it wont work in current mobo) ? .. im leaning towards a g280 and PSU probably 750watt
 
Get a new mobo and the 4870, it'll be almost the same speed in games and you can get a new shining motherboard that's more stable and will overclock better :D
