GPU dilemma ...

Facts:

- Havnt looked at the GPU market since diablo 3 was released.
- Currently running a 1 gig 6950 (shaders unlocked and oced) with no probs in D3 on a catleap monitor
- Have a brandnew (although opened - not used) GTX gigabyte windforce 670 sitting here that I have been too lazy to put in.

So my question is this -
what are my options from now till christmas ...

I could probably live with running my 6950 till then and sell my gtx and then buy something at around christmas time ...

or sell my 6950 now and put that 670 in my system finally.

- note - Id probably have to sell my gtx on ebay or something since dont have the 1000 posts here yet.

So what do you think?

Do you play any other games than D3? A 6950 -> 670 is a fairly significant upgrade however if you only play D3 I doubt you'd notice any different without an FPS counter on.

That said, if you want to stay on the upgrade curve it's better to sell now while the 6950's are still attracting a fair bit of money second hand... although the 1GB version will reduce this somewhat. Then you can sell the 670 when the next generation arrives and buy the next high end card .

And yes, put that 3770K in and overclock it. It's a really nice chip.
