So my computer is on its last legs, I've ordered all the new parts for a rig accept the gpu.
In an ideal situation my old rig would have lasted till vega but hasn't worked like that. I was gonna order an msi 1070 x but I keep going back to the fact that although the 1070 is far better than the 970, in the scale of things it's still the same model card for its generation as the 970 was to the 980 but was 299.
Do I buy a rx 480 and wait for vega and then prob pay the same if not more due to having to buy two cards in 6 months or just bite the bullet and pay for 1070/80?
I just feel like nvidia are taking us for a ride with these prices compared to the last generation and that's not taking into account brexit as I feel they were overpriced even before it.
I just feel amd needs the support to keep prices competitive.
