So I bought the Coolermaster Storm Scout Gaming Case, and on trying to build it today my Asus ATI Radeon HD 6950 doesn't fit in it, has anyone else had this problem? How can OCUK advertise this product as a gaming case when the most popular graphics cards don't fit in it? That's not fit for purpose.

There have been quite a few topics on this. Fairly simple really, as far as I'm aware it's a mix between motherboard placement for their PCI-E slots, and ATI making massively long graphics cards...

I'll probably return it to ocuk under the sale of goods act for not being fit for purpose.

I'd say it's perfectly fit for purpose, they don't claim it will fit a 6950.

There's plenty of information out there, like most of us you're perfectly capable of doing a few minutes research before parting with your cash.

First result on Google for '6950 storm scout' shows that it doesn't fit without some modification.

The retailer of a product has a responsibility to advertise the product correctly, when a product is advertised as being a gamers case for "gaming hardware" one expects it to fit in common graphics cards given that some £20 cases will fit it in. The retailer knows of this issue and should have issued a statement to that effect on the product page, OCUK do not even list the product dimensions so one cannot check whether it will fit in on their site. It is not the buyers responsibility to look for exceptions to their product specification.

Secondly it will not fit even with the stated modification because of the pci-e slot position, so I couldn't have known it wouldn't fit anyway.

I think there's something called Distance Selling Regs (DSR) where you can return something you bought mail order on the grounds that you couldn't measure up or test for fit before purchase.
