GPU Driver/Firmware issue?

So I have a watercooled 290 which seemed to be running fine.

I ran a few benchmarks and some games and got decent fps as I would expect.

Somewhere along the line it started to blackscreen on boots.

My rig posts fine and I reach the bootscreen and it just goes black.

Now here it where it gets interesting:

If I completely uninstall all AMD drivers and/or boot into safemode, then I can boot fine and use my pc as normal. As soon as I have any drivers running it blackscreens on boot.

I have tried a few versions of the AMD drivers but to no avail. Could this be a firmware issue with the card?

(Right now I'm running my old 7950 so that further proves it is the GPU)

So I just flashed to a different bios and it booted fine. Installed the latest amd drivers and it booted and ran for ~3mins before black screening.

I have an issue with my 290x black screening after about 30mins of gaming which can only be resolved by rebooting.

I did a full uninstall of drivers with DDU and updated them to the 15.4 beta drivers which made it a little better but my issue was completely resolved when I increased the voltage on the card in Afterburner (I'm running standard clocks however).
