I registered my EVGA gtx460 the other day and it had 3 years warranty, and I was given the choice of extending it for another 2 years which I did not do as I recon when that time comes, my gpu will already be obsolete or new bettee GPUs will be out.

What do you guys do, do you opt for extended warranty and why?

I would. Simply as they have a "like for like" policy on replacements.

IE if it died in say, a year, you would get the Kepler equivalent.

If it died in a year then it's already covered by the 3 year warranty.

Also if it died within a year they may still have 4 or, more likely, 5 series cards available to replace it.
