GPU fan loud on startup, computer lags

Hi, recently i left my computer on for a few hours downloading but suddenly the gpu fan went at full blast and the computer become very slow and unresponsive. I thought restarting it would solve the problem but now each time i start up the computer the fan goes full blast after a minute and then the computer mouse becomes very slow as well as clicking the start button ect.

Call me suspicious but download MSI Afterburner (link below), once installed check the GPU usage when things are slow and see if it's above 0% (normally at the desktop it should bounce between 0 - 10% depending on what you're doing). If it's at/close to 100% then it sounds like one of those mining viruses (could be something else).

Failing that, what's your spec?

Just did it there and the gpu usage is 99 percent, you may be right bout the virus because there was some strange program trying popup and install earlier
specs are
gtx 570, i7 2500k,

just used combofix and it slowed down immediately thanks for your help
