Hi all, another new member to the fold!

I've followed the guide to setup FAH GPU Tracker and the SMP client is running fine, but regardless of the settings I choose I can't get the GPU client to work.

My card is a GTX 660, tried enabling GPU3 client, and forcing GPU selection but no good. When I click "Start GPU0" it finds a WU but doesnt seem to be doing anything. e.g. even after 3hrs its 0% complete and the card isnt getting warm so its idle.

What should I be looking at to fix this??

Assuming you are using the current folding client 7.3.6:

The folding power bar needs to be at full for GPU
GPU slot is configured with GPU index at -1. GPU is a separate slot to CPU.
You have the current nvidia drivers, including CUDA stuff installed

What CPU do you have. Some of the latest GPU threads will need a CPU core to power the GPU. If the CPU is prioritised too high compared to GPU there will be an issue.

Do the logs or system info stuff show anything?

Indeed if it is a 4 core CPU it will need 1 core to feed the gpu so if you are folding on the CPU on all core the you effectively gets starved of data and will not fold.

If it is a 4 core CPU set up the smp folding client to only use 3 cores it will effect your ppd slightly but atleast your gpu will fold.

It shouldn't be necessary to manually set the number of cores for the CPU. Leave it at -1 and client 7 will automatically allow one core for the GPU as long as both slots are configured when the client is started.
