My 4870 is getting on a little bit now and I fancy an upgrade. Having looked around I can see that the best cards in my budget seem to be 7850/7870/7950+sell games.

I was originally looking at a 7950 but I only have a 450w Corsair VX power supply and the minimum recommended seems to be 500w. I play games at 1680x1050 resolution. What would be the best choice given my small power supply and smallish resolution? Also it's my understanding that MSI are better than most when it comes to warranties? Is it worth paying a little bit more for the MSIs?

rest of my spec:
AMD Athlon II X4 620
8gb memory

Thanks :)

I imagine that a 7950 would be overkill when paired with that CPU and at that res.

7850 sounds good tho.

Then next year maybe trade it in for an 8850 :)
