Hi all

What Card would run the below games at a steady FPS for around £120

PUBG
Project Cars
FIFA 18 (when released)
ETS 2

Will be asking for money for Christmas to go towards a new card, so this will be something to tie me over until then...

My system specs:

Ryzen 1300x
8GB Team Group Dark Pro 3000mhz
120gb WD M.2
1tb HDD
EVGA 500w Power supply
Gigabyte B350 motherboard

Thank you

Note though that ETS 2 isn't easy to run at "steady FPS" no matter the GPU or CPU, and Project Cars can be quite demanding too. As per above though, you can run them okay with that.

FPS is dependent on resoloution and detail settings, for that money your mite get a 1050ti new or a gtx 970/980 second hand.

2nd hand 290 will do you if the price isn't crazy

Thanks for the replies guys, I was considering a 1050ti or 970... I've never seen what a 290 performs like, Any experience with one @malachi

what graphics card do you have currently? unless they changed for that 1300x, no ryzen has graphics built in?

while i like to suggest parts for people, i usually go by a simple rule i have, look up the games system requirements, compare the list between the games and use the Game-Debate Can I Run It feature on their site, while you might get away with an under spec to what they list, its still a good indicator of what you could expect.

Im playing pubg just fine on a gtx 580 (40 Pound second hand) i bought to use till vega (vega aint worth it so might get a 1070 now) and it runs it just fine on my 144hz monitor on low and i just won a solo game yesterday... Once you get used to low settings all these expensive gpus look very silly as i can play almost all games easily on a 1.5gb gpu lol

Currently Dont have a GPU in my build as I'm only just getting the parts ordered... I will definitely use that site you've recommended to check what they suggest.. I will probably be on the look out for a 970 or a 1050ti over the coming weeks

PUBG needs 1050ti power as a minimum really, look for used 970s or even 780tis.

Was thinking about these GPU's. Will have a look around for one

Even a ******* gtx 580 works so anything above that is GG EZ as long as your not scared of seeing some jagged edges at 60fps... I just played dishonoured 2 with a ******* GTX 580 like i never realised how stupid all these expensive gpus are till now...

Yeah unless you are playing at 1440p or 4k you soon realise anything less than 4gb on a GPU isn't going to cut it on modern games. This where the expensive GPUs step in.

just dont try to play a game well above your computer capabilities ha,

tried to play the division with my computer(sig), got to the menu to adjust settings etc, but changing to full screen 1920x1080 with high preset caused many freezes/crashes and screen flashing with 0-33fps in loading screens and 0-11fps in game, took so long i had to flick the switch for the whole computer lol, with a low res and low settings it might have been okay, but i wanted to push it, mind you i dont even have 4gb ram, just 3gb working which is half of that game minimum, my system wasnt built for that game, so its acceptable ha.
