GPU for Autodesk Maya/Unity/Clickteam Fusion

Hi,

I'm on the verge of ordering a new GPU and aside from already using the Creative Cloud suite,
I will soon be required to learn/familiarise myself with the software mentioned above.

Does it matter what vendor I choose (e.g. only minor differences) or is it a must to have one over the other?

I currently have a 980Ti and fancied a switch to the red team - probably a 6700XT.

Maya uses Nvidia Cuda and can do ray tracing with an RTX so you're best off going team green. Anything above a 3070 will be sufficient.

I wouldn't switch to AMD, Nvidia is just the better option unfortunately due to cuda being far more popular than open-cl.

Pick based on your budget from the quadro/a series professional cards or geforce rtx with studio drivers. In all honesty you should be fine with the geforce rtx cards unless you are a big business and want to use nvidia's 'support' that comes with quadro/a series.
