I have seen the results with my own eyes, I have got Vantage screens of 5870 tri fire when we did some benching a while back.

480 SLI scales a lot better than 5870 tri fire

Do you mean dual SLi 480 performs better than tri-fire 5870, which makes sense. Or, are you saying that 2x480 scale better than 3x5870 - which does not make sense as this is not an apples to apples comparison!
