I would like to know if the GPU has to be AMD if you own an AMD processor.

For example, if someone owns a Ryzen 5 1600, should he buy a gtx 1050ti or an AMD gpu?

Will nvidia perform worse on AMD cpu?

They will all work with with each other so the choice is yours.
Now which combination works better you will have to look for some benchmarks.

I would prefer gtx 1050ti for amd ryzen 5 1600.

As far as I have seen, this gpu has excellent performance with energy efficiency.

Then go for it. Nothing wrong with that combo.
As for the "excellent performance" that 1050ti provides, some (including me) would argue with.
But hey for the price it's not bad.
Ryzen 1600 should last you a few GPU upgrade cycles.
