GPU for new build (not really for gaming)...

Hi folks,
I'm in the final stages of sourcing components for my new build and hoping for your opinions on a solid GPU...
I am not a gamer, but I have 4 x 1080p 27" monitors all the time (which my 'donkies old' GTX295 is still driving despite being prehistoric at this stage). I'm not doing anything too excessive on the GPU front really. Trying to source a new GPU without going crazy (or complete overkill) on the likes of an RTX2080. Read lots of threads here and a 1660 seems to be popping up quite a bit? My components so far are as follows...

MB: MSI Tomahawk x570
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
Mem: 2x8gb ddr4
PSU: Corsair 750W supply (I haven't got this yet but by all accounts so far, 750w should be loads without being too excessive - or is it still too much? Would a 650w do the trick?)
GPU: ???

All suggestions or knowledge is welcome for gpu (and psu).

Thanks in advance all...

Yeah it's working but it's on its way out. Over 10+yrs old, been through the mill plenty of times back in my game playing days, it's been unsupported for yrs, never gave me a moments grief since I had it, but starting to change screen resolution on me randomly now, every time Win10 auto-updates stuff, it seems to struggle too. Building new rig now, new mb, new cpu, etc. Looking for suggestions on new gpu...

In that case I'd go for the cheapest thing that has enough outputs, which, looking at ocuk right now, is either an rx 570 or gtx 1650 depending on which way you want to sway your brand loyalty/what outputs you need.

Thanks for your suggestion. Seems to be on trend with most of what I've read - most saying to go for gtx 1660ti.
No doubt this is a daft Q, but a lot has changed since I last researched a gpu. I'd rather stick with nvidia as a personal preference, but what's with all the different brands? Back in the day it was nvidia branded or radeon (was it)? Now when I search nvidia gpu's such as gtx 1660, I get results for msi, gigabite, asus, etc? They all seem to be slightly different. Did nvidia just sell their tech and allow other manufacturers to put their own stamp on it? If so, what are the class leaders, or is there such a thing anymore? Can you just get an nvidia 1660, or is it all msi, gigabite, evga, asus, etc now? Again, sorry for what is a stupid Q for those in the know...

What you're referring to is AIB manufacturers, who take the nvidia/amd silicon and create their own boards. This had been going on for 20+ years. You *can* find unbranded ones but they're few and far between and of almost no benefit to my knowledge aside from some by chance being better overclockers if I recall correctly. Leader for me is EVGA due to their typically longer warranty, or at least definitely used to.

As you're not gaming, ignore the pricier overclocked cards.
Verify the card has the outputs you need - can vary between manufacturers and models.
Go for a card with a good warranty, 3 years+.
Cooling format of the card depends on your case.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the variants of a 1660 / super / ti. (I assume the super/ti are the overclocked you refer to?)

Cooling format of the card? Case is a Lancool II mesh

I think I'm missing something, is there a reason you're so sold on a 1660 of some variety? If you're not gaming you'll be wasting £50 (~30% increase in cost) by going for that instead of a 1650.

Even better would be the above suggestions of even cheaper cards, I hadn't thought of those!

I think somebody just wants shiny :D
No, not looking for "shiny" at all actually, just don't want to do things in half measures or do complete overkill either. Would rather have some contingency instead of none at all. I'm not set on any gpu - hence asking for suggestions or some guidance here...

Cheapest nvidia single card option is probably going to be a GTX 1060, if you can find one for sale anywhere, or a 1660 if you can't (I've seen a 1060 on sale for around £150)
If you go AMD an RX570 can be had for about the same price, maybe £10-£20 less if you shop around

If all you care about is 4 monitors for desktop use, and you aren't looking to game at all or go to a higher res than 1080p in future, a pair of GT710s will set you back about £80. £75 if you shop around.

I'd probably go with the Radeon RX570 myself.

Your PSU is overkill if you're not putting a fancy gfx card in it. You could get away with a 650 or even lower. We run a 3700X rig on an MSI board with an RTX 2070Super in it here with a 650W "Gold" PSU and it's well within tolerance.

--Edit-- Is it just me, or has the OCUK shop graphics card section gone weird?
I can *only* see quadro and firepro cards on there now.
