I still play Elite Dangerous on my Rift but feel I am ready for the next gen headsets. I was tempted to back but held off to see what was what and it has cost $700 anyways, so no loss waiting. I will find it hard waiting for the end of Jan and knowing my luck, I will get mine at the end of Feb 2020 :D :D
 
Few who have got them over on the VR forum say its virtually no SDE and in general better than the Vive but the black levels and backlight are not too good.

Yer, read that and watched a vid where Pimax have stated that they can improve the blacks via an update but LCD Vs OLED is a non starter to me and OLED will always win. Mind you, the FOV and SDE are so improved, I can put up with that.
 
As long as pixel count is higher I'll be a happy camper. Higher pixel count and integrated fan would check all boxes for me.
