As mentioned in the thread title above we are going to create a little survey here at OCUK of what GPU/GPUs you are running and why.

The why I will leave to your own personal preference being it certain games you play, price/performance etc etc anything basically that you feel fits.

I will try to create a pie chart and/or % based informative table or text with each resolution, GPU etc.

Let's leave AMD and Nvidia arguments out of this and generally be polite.

Please state your resolution, GPU model and reason as follows.

Resolution :
GPU/GPUs :
Because :
Extras:

Thank you in advance.

Resolution : 4K

GPU/GPUs : SLI Titan Xs

Because: 4K is darn demanding at higher settings.

Extras: Games I am currently playing are Witcher 3, GTA V and COD AW.

Asus ROG Swift 1440p
SLI GTX 980

SLI 980's seems about right for the resolution to not worry about not being able to max things for a while.

Games I have been playing recently are Witcher 3, Farcry 4, Drgaon Age Inquisition and Elite Dangerous.

Running at 2560x1600 as I have a Dell 30" for photo work.

Still using a 6950 flashed to 6970 at the moment.

Not upgraded as I've not had the need but now I'm feeling it after getting under 20fps on Cities Skylines :p Not a GTA5/Crysis3/Witcher type gamer so I've been able to cope for a while now.

Waiting for the AMD announcements on Fury/Fiji cards before making my decision on 980ti or AMD Fury something which should last me another 3 years.

Powercolor PCS+ R9 290

Screen is 1080P but that's irrelevant as i use VSR for most of my Games, most 2560x1440P some 3200x1800P.

Reason: Price for performance, brand choice: past experience with Powercolor + Massive cooler.

GTX 780 EVGA at 1080p 120hrz

I chose this GPU at the time as my GTX 580 was getting abit old for max settings, i dont game a lot these days but when i do i like to have full eye candy so i upgrade roughly every 2 generations so i get enough of a performance increase to justify the cost :), ill hopefully be going onto pascal which should be a very nice jump and maybe getting a 1440p or 4k monitor

Resolution : 3440x1440
GPU/GPUs : Single 980ti

Because : Needed a single card solution with enough vram that could pull 3440x1440 without compromising to much on IQ. The 980ti was the cheapest option that fitted my requirements.

Resolution : 3440*1440
GPU/GPUs : 980 SLI (will be TX SLI later on today)
Because : After having 5950's in Crossfire, and generally having no issues I bought a Titan. This worked great but I fancied Crossfire again. So I bought a pair of 290X's and I had issues in most games I played. Went to 980's in SLI and haven't had many issues since. Getting some TX's because I am seeing VRAM issues at my res.

Titan X
ROG Swift 1440P

Reason - I love the screen and the Titan X was the only GP at the time that was capable of running at full resolution with everything maxed and smooth.

Resolution: 2560x1440
GPU/GPUs: GTX Titan x2
Because: I had an AMD Reference 290 previous to the Titans and had no end of issues with trying make it stable in game. I'd had enough tinkering and was fed of messing around and the random crashes so I sold it. When the Titan X was release, the MM was flooded with GTX Titans so I managed to bag 2 from Fanatic (cheers :D ) and I've never been happier.

I earn millions and live in a massive mansion and own every card made ever(put that in your research paper)

1440p
980 GTX & 290X
I just like hardware I guess so I get an offering from both sides.

1440/144

780 sli

Don't have time just now to change them for a TX/980Ti.

Have lots of grunt left in them at 1440, vram is lacking though.

1920 x 1080 (TV which doubles as my monitor)
GTX 970
No need for anything more powerful at this resolution.
Currently playing Witcher 3, which runs at 60fps with HairWorks turned off and low 50's with it turned on full.

Resolution: 2560x1080
GPU/GPUs: GTX970
Because: I was running SLI GTX970's but realised that none of my games support SLI so it was pointless so I got a GTX980, which didn't fit :D
Extras: I have a cat named Squirrel
