ok so there i was again.
playing boiling point (quite an apt name)
and i was watching my gpu temp on second monitor..
45c-50c-65c-73c-crash..
and thats how it went 3 times in a row.
So i riped out the gfx card,
removed the tin plate thet coverd heat sink and directed the air from fan over the heat sink "is actualy through the ehat sink but hey".
then i cut it down shorter. "bye bye waranty "
Any way i screwed the remnants of the tin plate back down so that the little fans air flow was still being directed through the heat sink.
Then i strapped on a 80mm fan and hotwierd it in to the card..
well that knocked the temps down by 10c.
So i was happy..
But i noticed that there are little jumper switches on the card..
and i want to know what they do before i kill the card
by playing with them..
any way my card is a x800xl agp 256mb jobby.
and heres a pic of the pci version. with the switches in question highlighted..
so any 1 knopw what they do??
