Hi guys, earlier today I noticed a drop in performance when playing Batman Arkham City, I also noticed that GPU load was sitting around 40% when gaming.

So I put everything back to stock and ran Heaven and too ka ss of MSI AB.
I dont think that much fluctuation is normal?
This only started happening last night(didnt pay much attention until today).

Any ideas on what could be causing this and any way of fixing it?

Can you try something. Disable the Msi AB monitoring and load up GPUz and test again does the same thing happen?

I have had this also happen with AB but other programs dont show same thing. This was months ago like, I dont use AB for monitoring anymore.

The reason for the drops before was due to high temps causing the boost clock to throttle, which in turn shows as a drop in gpu usage.

In new screenshot its running cooler due to higher fan speed, clock speed is staying stable so no drops in usage.

Hmmm, theres definitely something up with my system or Batman AC.
Ran Batman and GPU Load sits around 40%, when running Heaven it goes upto 98%.
Then when I exited out of batman, Windows prompted me with a message saying my system is running slow due to low resources etc etc and asked me if I want to enable Aero Basic?

You running Batman AC in DX11 mode? if so disable it and use dx9
dx11 is very buggy in that game.

Try playing another game to rule out a system issue, something demanding like bf3, crysis 3 etc

Yup DX11.
Unfortunately I dont have any of those, will try and check if Metro 2033 benchmark works without the game installed.

Edit: nope doesnt work, something about physxloader.dll missing :o

Going to leave this as it is as I will be installing a new motherboard tomorrow so hopefully, a clean install will fix the problem :)

Thanks for the help guys.

If you re-install the Physx it then should work. See how you get on with a fresh windows install.

Couldn't find the PhysX executable so leaving everything for now :p
Hopefully a clean Windows install will fix it :o
