I've noticed something happening of late with my graphics card. The fans have started to spin up and go nuts while doing general stuff in windows.

I've noticed that sometimes just having Chrome open can cause the fans to spin up as if the card is under load. For some reason this seems to happen on certain sites more than others. The following site is an example that will always put my card under heavy load.

Is this normal?

Using open hardware monitor my current GPU load is 0%. Open up a tab in Chrome for The Telegraph and I GPU goes up as high as 100% load.

My 1080 usage goes up to 20/25% usage when on that site. If I go back to overclockers only , then its 0.

hahaha i just tried that website, and it completely killed my pc almost, seems with my 1080ti sli cards that website above running opera latest version causes my cards to use up all graphics memory and causes the system to go stuttering/slow motion freezing the lot lol

once the website is closed through countless clicking close then memory returns to normal

something fishy going on with that website :/
