Gpu memory usage

Hi all,
just a quick question, i have two msi 6870 in crossfire, both cards are 1024mb.
Its my understanding that that does not mean i have 2gb of vram, but my question is because i have two, is the memory loads distributed between both cards? or just 1?

You have just 1gb, as it will be duplicated on both gpus memory.

The memory usage on each card is identical. Each card needs the same data available.

Sadly yes. You have GPU grunt but not enough VRAM, so will end up being a slideshow game.

Well thats sucks, nevermind though, i guess the game looks amazing on high anyway? coming from xbox360?
