GPU memory?

1GB version will hold you back in some games on higher res like bf3 + modded skyrim and future games. with the dual fan card you'll probably be able to overclock it more as well as getting an extra gb of vram.

So for the £30 difference would you say it is worth it?

Thanks...

There are 3 x 2GB 7850s' on OC - Gigabyte one has most Mhz so is that the one to go for? Or the dual fan....?

I agree with Scotty and Hank. Even if your monitor is a low resoloution, you will not have the option to change monitor to a higher res without turning settings down in some games. 1GB is not enough now and unless you are at the top end of your budget, go for the 2GB :)

dont be worried about the stock/factory clocks, they will all max out ccc overdrive without touching voltages, unless your very unlucky and get a stinker, but 99% will do that

I highly doubt that the 2gb version will give you ANY additional benefits at 1080p:

There is a tendency among PC gamers to get hung up on vram and I agree that if you want to max out something like BF3 you're going to need more than 1gb vram, but you will hit a wall in terms of pure processing power with a lot of cards, the 7850 included, before you hit a vram wall. 1gb vram is really all the 7850 can efficiently make use of at 1080p. Not that it's a bad card by any means. It's a great card. But don't think that strapping some extra vram on is going to turn it into a monster.

Ah well I ordered now :)

If you like vanilla Skyrim then cool, if you want to mod it right up, good luck with 1Gb.

Add another for CrossFire at a later date, good luck maxing out BF3 as well.

Can't believe it's still an issue@1080p, especially at the price the 7850 sits at right now.

:)
