Hey,

I have the MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card and one thing I've noticed is that as soon as I load a game be it World of Warcraft, Wildstar, Tomb Raider, Path of Exile, basically anything, the card starts to make a rumbling/buzzing noise.

Thing is, I'd only really call it audible, as such I don't hear it at all with my headset on and only with head tilted towards the case, it just starts whenever I load a game like I said and stops as soon as I close the game.

There's also a more noticable noise when the fan speed is set to high (say up to 60%, then beyond 60% there's a rattling noise) I sure wouldn't want to ever have to run it at 80%+ not like I should have to, noisy as hell then :p

Just wondering if this is actually a defect or normal for this card?

I have the same card and i 'think' MSI have admitted the fans are crap. I have RMA one card and i need to RMA the replacement after a month. The fans leak oil and lead to fan problems, they just randomly stop and my GPU went upto 101c.

The fans on my new card was buzzing from the start so overall not happy with the MSI brand 280x. I would check around the casing of the fans for oil.
