GPU Not displaying 4K on new TV

I have a Zotac Mini 1070ti and which has a x3 display ports and Just the one HDMI port.

the HDMI port is taken up by the Oculus Rift which is a requirement, and won’t work with an adapter.

and I’m using a display port to HDMI adapter to the TV put I can only get a 1080p picture on the 4K TV, and it looks grainy and blurry, I ideally want to play PC games at 1440p and Stadia on 4k.

What do I need to do/buy to get a 4k signal?

Make sure that your DP to HDMI adaptor is a 4K 60hz model, most are not hence cheap.

Have you tried HDMI to HDMI just to see if that does display 4k? Seems most likely to be the cable that's the issue.

If you do find a DP to HDMI adapter that lists '4K' support, check the small print that it's not 4K @ 30hz only.

You're looking for a DP to HDMI 2 adapter (rather than the more common HDMI 1.4 that tops out at 1920x1200@60Hz). Startech do one (DP2HD4K60S) but there might well be cheaper ones out there too.
