At the min i can oc my card with afterburner to 140 core 300 mem 40 volts and run benchtests no probs top card in games runs at 75 in heaven though it hits 85 after 10 mins.

As soon as I start a game it crashs with in 10-20 mins of running. BF4 runs nps at 130 core and 300 mem yet DAI crashs with in a few mins.

Now I was wondering about taking the plunge " pun intended :D" into water cooling. If I had the same gpus water cooled would I be able to push the core and mem past the 140 and would they be stable in games or would they just crash like they do with the stock cooler?

Yea I know that's the conundrum. Well I will be keeping my swift monitor for a good few years so if I can push the 980s to get it to 120 fps in bf4 then I would be happy to invest in water.

Would be gutted though if 130 on the core was the most it would hit.

Opps how I forgot to mention that the cards are 2 kaf2 gtx 980 soc I dont know

Well atm to try keep the cards cool I have 2 120m fans in the front in pull 2 140 fans on the rad for the cpu on the top in push and 1 140m fan for the rear slot in pull. Also I have a 120m high pressure fan right next to the gpus blowing side ways on them . So needless to say its a bit louder then I would like.

I had a chat with a member of staff at OC yesterday and they infromed me that these cards aint meant to be overclocked more then they are . So with that in mind i think watercooling them as you say might not get any more speed out of them. Shame really but they still manage to push 70-100 fps in BF4 on ultra in 2k so I cant really complain :)
