gpu or psu ????

hi all got up today and went to power up pc. and it did not start so started to look for falts . and found this when i take the gtx out of the pc . it starts up . and when i put it back in with out the pci power leads it starts up with full fans on gpu and bios button light on card is on . but as soon as i try with power leads in card pc wont start

that PSU has a single 12v rail, if that was bad there would be more things wrong than just the GFX card, sounds like its a problem with the card but I could be wrong

will be taking the gpu to a mate's later to test on his pc .

If possible try his gpu in your PC too just to make sure before you RMA.

ive got an old gpu in my pc now but it dont need the pci power leads

It's unlikely that just the PCIE leads have died.
